“I am Black, Queer, Muslim, 1st Generation Belizean American & I’m 100% ME!”

Some estimate that 1 in 10 people are LGBTQ, and there are more than 1 billion Muslims worldwide. Statistically speaking, that means more than 100 million Muslim people likely consider themselves to be lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer around the world. Islamic individuals and institutions fall along a wide spectrum of acceptance towards the LGBTQ Community. Some are welcoming and inclusive, while others are not. Muslim people can be of any race, nationality, or sexual orientation. A person can be born a Muslim, or they can convert. Anyone can be Muslim. #FaceDiversity #BreakNewGround #Muslim #Stereotype
